Jack landed in Italy in September 1944 and gave his life during the advance from Rimini to Forli on the Adriatic coast.

GAVE HIS LIFE: 18/08/1940. AGED: 32.

Michael was based at H.M.S Peregrine a Royal Naval Air Base used for training pilots at Ford in Sussex.
In the summer of 1940 German JU 80 Stuka Dive Bombers attacked the air base and Michael lost his life on the airfield.
He lies at peace in the same grave as Lieutenant Commander (Retired) Malcolm Henry Cathcart Young aged 37 who also lost his life during the same attack.

Douglas lost his life leading his men as the allies made a major thrust from Caumont l' Evente towards Vire, to drive a wedge between the German 7th Army and Panzer Group West.
Douglas was the son of SIR Alvary Douglas Frederick Trench Gasciogne, K.M.G.M, G.B.E., C.M.G. Born 6th August 1893 Died 18th April 1970.
SIR Alvary was Educated at Eton College and was a Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guard.
During World War I he was mentioned in dispatches, giving Diplomatic Service in 1921 and 1953.
He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1942, Political Representative to Japan (with the rank of Ambassador) 1946 1951.
Invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1948. He held the office of Ambassador to the U.S.S.R. Between 1951 and 1953.
Invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1953.

Walter was Based with No 9 squadron at RAF Honington when he lost his life on overseas duty taking part in a bombing raid onboard a Vickers Wellington Mark III.
