CHURCH FENTON WW1 WAR MEMORIAL

Church Fenton is a village 6 miles from Tadcaster. The War Memorial is inside St Mary the Virgin which is in Kirk Fenton. The village is well known for its R.A.F Base details can be found here. At the time of the First world war Church Fenton was a major section on the East Coast Railway line connecting Scotland the North East of England to London. Thousends of men on their way to the trenches will have passed through the station. It also served Tadcaster onto Wetherby.
