B Abbott of Greenhill Aberford) stated that Edward may have suffered form shell shock and Pneumonia the truth is the Doctor did not know this we now know sounds like Spanish Flu which at the time of Edwards death was sweeping not only Britian but the world world. Edward Was in France for 3 years 328 days. Laid to Rest Aberford St Ricarius Cemetery. Memorial None.
Of note is the amount of men that came home and subsequently passed away from wounds or Disease from the First World war, indeed it is thought as many men died from the spanish flu caught whilst in the trenches after the war than during the war itself.
