YORKSHIRE EVENING POST LEEDS JUNE 1ST 1917. Mr and Mrs J.Marshall of Kirkgate Tadcaster, have recieved intamation of the death in action in France on May 17th of thier second son Gunner William Marshall, R.F.A. The deceased was previousley in partnership with his father and brother as painters decoraters and plumbers. His younger brother Private Fred Marshall Durham Light Infantry is in hospital at Glasgow suffering from wounds.

The other brother was mentioned in the following newspaper artical. YORKSHIRE HERALD 1916 Private C. H. Marshall, joiner John Smiths Brewery of Sunningdale has been in the Sherwood foresters since May 1915. He has two brothers in the Royal Garrison Artillery.
